Brings together scholars from diverse backgrounds to advance equity research and create new possibilities for collaboration

Brings together scholars, activists, and practitioners on the Oakland campus for lectures and discussions focused on a pressing topic in the realm of gender and racial justice

Featured Program

Research Justice at the Intersections relaunches

The Mills Institute is relaunching the Research Justice at the Intersections (RJI) program. The new RJI program will serve as an incubator space for a number of simultaneous, collaborative research groups. Individual groups will work in one of the designated Institute research streams.

Current research streams are:
Queer Histories
Reproductive Justice
Embracing Technologies

The program also facilitates a writing group–The RJI Writing Collective.
