Click for video. On November 6, 2025, the Mills Institute hosted a celebration on the Northeastern Oakland campus to honor the vision, impact, and partnerships that have defined our journey since 2023.

This special day brought together students, faculty, scholars, alumni, community partners, and friends from near and far to reflect on our achievements, share bold ideas for the future, and strengthen the connections that fuel our mission. Guided by this year’s research theme, Solidarities, we celebrated two years of transformative learning, justice-centered research, and leadership development, while exploring new ways to unite communities and create lasting change. Together, we charted the next chapter in the Mills Institute’s story.
